My colleague is deeply worried for his child, who just started his junior school. He wants to set up a controlled environment for his child and start with Google Chrome. Are there any parental control settings available?
I set up Chrome’s parental controls for my kid’s Chromebook using Google Family Link. Downloaded the app, made a supervised Google account for them, and linked it on their device. In Family Link, I turned on Chrome’s “block mature sites” filter and SafeSearch, then blocked specific sites under “Manage Sites.” Works well, but I check their history weekly. Use a VPN or Qustodio for extra control. Get consent before monitoring!
Use the Google Family Link app to create a supervised account for your child. Once linked, you can manage web filters, block explicit sites, and approve or deny access to specific websites from your own device, ensuring a safer browsing experience on Chrome.
