Is It Legal to Stream Sports for Free?

My sidekick wants to be a streamer on Twitch, but his kind heart won't allow to make money with it. Is it even a good idea to stream sports for free?

Streaming sports on official free websites (such as network television websites or team apps) is not an offence. Illegal and unofficial receiving sites will, however, run the risk of legal and malware issues, and can have surprise effects.
