How To Set Parental Controls on Social Media Apps?

Kids are in the house. I need to fortify my phone, so help me please. Give me the parental controls for every social media that a kid can use.

To set parental controls on social media apps:
  1. Enable built-in tools (e.g., Instagram’s "Supervision," TikTok’s "Family Pairing").
  2. Restrict privacy settings (limit posts to "Friends Only").
  3. Filter content (block mature/keywords).
  4. Set screen time limits (via iOS/Android settings).
  5. Use third-party apps (Bark, Qustodio) for monitoring.

Use the parental tools in-app (Instagram Family Center, TikTok Family Pairing, YouTube Supervised).

Or implement device-level tools: Apple Screen Time (iPhone / iPad) or Google Family Link (Android).

To set parental controls on social media:
  1. Use built-in features (e.g., Instagram’s Supervision, TikTok’s Family Pairing).
  2. Enable Restricted Mode (YouTube/Facebook) or Privacy Settings.
  3. For stricter control, use third-party apps like Bark or device-level restrictions (Screen Time on iOS/Google Family Link).

Most social media platforms have native parental controls (e.g., TikTok's Family Pairing, Instagram's Family Center). Parents must link their account to their child's to manage settings like screen time, who can message them, and content filters. Device-level controls can also be used.
