How To Delete WhatsApp Contact On Android Or iPhone?

What's the easiest way to permanently delete a contact from WhatsApp on both Android and iPhone? I want to clean up my contact list.

On an iPhone (iOS)​

1. Find and tap the built-in Contacts app on your home screen. (It might also be called Phone > Contacts tab).
2. Scroll through your list or use the search bar at the top to find the contact you want to delete.
3. Tap on the contact's name to open their full details.
4. Tap the Edit button in the top-right corner.
5. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the edit screen and tap Delete Contact (in red text).
6. Tap Delete Contact again to confirm.

On an Android Phone​

The steps can vary slightly depending on your phone manufacturer (Samsung, Google Pixel, etc.), but the general process is the same.

1. Open your phone's Contacts or Phone app. (It might have a name like "Contacts," "People," or be found in your Phone app under a "Contacts" tab).
2. Browse or search for the contact you wish to remove.
3. Tap on the contact to view its details. Look for an Edit button (usually represented by a pencil icon).
4. Tap the Delete or More options menu (three dots) and select Delete.
5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
